Hi Joker, I was not aware of any places not accepting travelers checks. I would figure credit cards would be find. Just... You can always pay in peso. I would be sure that many love to see the American Dollar since it is worth much more....

For the tourist, such sports would be water sports like kayaking, rafting, scuba, and snorkeling. Also there are some decent golf courses there. There are also great hiking trails and mountain biking too....
